A Library Hidden in the Forest

Pingtung County Main Library is located in Millennium Park in Pingtung City. It is a library transformed from a 30-year-old building, which was formerly the Pingtung County Government Cultural Bureau. After renovation, it became the Pingtung County Main Library. Surrounded by trees in Millennium Park, it is known as the 'Library in the Forest.' The library has five floors: the first floor features a lobby with a service desk, a children's reading area, and a nursing room; the second floor houses the general book area, world history and geography section, and an outdoor reading area; the third floor is dedicated to the youth book area with an audiovisual room, a large staircase area, and an internet area; the fourth floor is the Pingtung Literature Museum with language and literature books and a stone house; the fifth floor is an auditorium. On weekends, there is a cultural market outside the library, providing a great place for people to relax and shop in addition to reading books.
