The Sand Island Shell Sand Exhibition Hall is a beautiful attraction in Hengchun, Pingtung. The most famous one is the Sand Island Beach next to it. It is not far from Kenting Main Street, and the transportation is convenient. Whether you are taking pictures, watching the sunset or walking on the beach, it is definitely worth a visit.

Coming to the Sand Island Shell Sand Exhibition Hall, it is suggested that you can arrange it as follows:
1. Visit the exhibition hall first to know why Sand Island Beach is so special (the exhibition hall has different kinds of shell sand specimens and introductions, you can learn about conservation knowledge by the way);
2. There is a boardwalk leading to the beach near the exhibition hall, follow it down to the beach to feel the subtle touch of the delicate seashell sand under your feet, and you won’t get tired of taking a bunch of photos;
3. Stay on the beach in the evening time to watch the sunset, the sky and the earth gradually dyed orange, with the white and delicate beach, portraits or large scenes shot out are super beautiful.

Essential equipment: sunglasses, hat, lightweight slippers, camera, and a sunscreen spray if interested
Notes:
- The beach belongs to the conservation area. You cannot take away shell sand or pick up the natural objects on the beach. Remember to be a public traveler
- The exhibition hall is closed on Mondays and other days are open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (remember to check before you leave)
- There is no shade on the beach, it is recommended to bring enough sunscreen, and to replenish moisture and sunscreen
- Peak traffic is mostly in the afternoon, you can choose to avoid the crowds in the morning or evening, taking pictures will be more comfortable

Tips:
1. There is a small amount of parking near the entrance of the exhibition hall
2. The trail along the road to the beach is easy to step on fine sand, wearing sandals is most convenient
3. If you are interested in photographing long exposures or sunsets, it is recommended to bring a tripod
