Day 1 – Hello Launceston
Arrived in Launceston and checked into Sporties Hotel for a comfy two-night stay. The town’s quiet charm and historic architecture set the tone for a relaxed start.
Day 2 – Cradle Mountain Magic
Joined a Cradle Mountain day tour—an absolute highlight! Enjoyed a complimentary lunch, took stunning photos at Dove Lake, and kept an eye out for wombats casually strolling through the alpine terrain. A dreamlike landscape that’s straight out of a postcard.
Day 3 – Gorge Views & City Strolls
Spent the morning walking along Launceston Pier and then ventured into Cataract Gorge Reserve, a natural haven just minutes from the city. In the afternoon, made the journey down to Hobart to prepare for the next adventure.
Day 4 – Journey to the Past at Port Arthur
Took a scenic bus ride to Port Arthur and explored the Port Arthur Historic Site—a moving and immersive dive into Tasmania’s convict history. Stayed overnight at NRMA Port Arthur Holiday Park and took a short coastal walk to end the day with ocean breeze and eerie serenity.
Day 5 – Back to Hobart
Wrapped up the trip by heading back to Hobart. From mountain peaks to coastal heritage, this Tasmanian journey was the perfect blend of wild nature and rich history.
