Swiss wine production is very low, and most of it is consumed domestically.
Exports are said to be less than 1% of the world's wine, making it rare to see it in Japan or overseas.
While you can buy this "hard-to-find" Swiss wine at supermarkets, we recommend enjoying it at a winery.
We headed to Chevre in the Lavaux region.
It's about a 20-30 minute train ride from Lausanne.
Since we had some time before the winery opened, we went to Bidlingmeyer, a popular bakery in front of the station.
Even early in the morning, the store was bustling, so we bought some bread and had a leisurely breakfast at the cafe next door.
It was a very pleasant shop, filled with small moments of happiness.
Afterwards, we walked to Domaine Bovy, admiring the vineyards with the mountains and lake as our backdrop.
We sampled four different wines and purchased one we liked best.
The total cost was about 7,300 yen, and it was a truly special experience. 🍷
