Roam around Xinguang Village and try the local specialty, suofen noodles

The ancient village is rich in culture and history. In terms of food, the suofen noodle-making process is at least hundreds of years old and was once a traditional specialty of the people on both sides of the Qianxi River.

There are not many restaurants still open today, and you can scan the code to shop at the gift shop. Fortunately, you can still enjoy a bowl of the famous suofen noodles (only ¥15 per bowl); it is a bit like rice noodles with vegetables, pickles, and shredded meat, and it is quite delicious 😋

There is also huogao: a seasonal snack that is sliced and crispy. Depending on the ingredients, there are sweet potato cakes, corn cakes, white rice cakes, mixed cakes, etc., all baked.
