drop off putian train station, pop into express bus (45mins) to meizhou wharves for ferry across to meizhou island.
mazu first temple is about 20mins walk away.
alternative is to take cab, bus or electric car ride.
temple entrance no fee.
main official temple will be first temple after main gates, the rest are public funded temple.
beside main temple will be the point she went heaven.
return back to city same way.

food in Putian must try and recommended 干煎包,炝肉,豆浆炒米粉，荔枝肉，兴华卤面。

guanghua temple in city is a good to visit. one of the 4 ancient temples in Fujian over 1000years oldand currently is a monastery. there is a pagoda within that withstood 7 grade 8 earthquakes and remained intact.
