Putra Square: The Iconic Heart of Putrajaya

#sepangitinerary

Putra Square (Dataran Putra) stands as a symbolic and architectural centerpiece in Putrajaya, Malaysia’s administrative capital. This expansive 300-meter circular plaza features concentric star patterns representing Malaysia’s states, culminating in a central circle symbolizing unity.

Encircling the square are the flags of all Malaysian states, with the national flag prominently displayed on a towering flagpole. Adjacent to the square is the iconic pink-domed Putra Mosque, constructed with rose-tinted granite and accommodating up to 15,000 worshippers.

The square’s strategic location offers panoramic views of Perdana Putra (the Prime Minister’s Office), Putra Bridge, and the serene Putrajaya Lake. With its lush gardens, water features, and ample seating, Putra Square is a popular spot for relaxation, photography, and experiencing Malaysia’s rich cultural heritage.
