Putrajaya | Pink Mosque - Masjid Putra

Malaysia's Putrajaya is home to the famous Pink Mosque, also known as Masjid Putra. Situated by the Putra Lake, the mosque reflects shimmering waters, and its pink dome glows softly under the sunlight, earning it the nickname "Pink Mosque."

The architecture combines Malaysian, Latin, and Islamic styles, with its towering minaret making Masjid Putra one of Putrajaya's iconic landmarks.

While visiting the mosque is free, there are dress code requirements. Men must wear long pants, and women need to dress modestly. If your attire doesn't meet the standards, you can borrow free robes to cover up before entering, and shoes must be removed.

The mosque's interior is solemn and elegant, featuring a high dome and intricate Islamic geometric patterns that are truly awe-inspiring. The spacious and bright main hall has marble floors that reflect the elaborate ceiling carvings, creating a serene and sacred atmosphere.

Guided tours are available in various languages, making the experience convenient for visitors. However, the mosque can get crowded with tourists and praying Muslims, so visiting during off-peak hours is recommended for a more comfortable experience.
