The Wujiangyuan Hundred-Mile Gallery is a scroll where emerald waters shimmer with sky reflections and verdant mountains embrace drifting mist—a fairyland woven from the melodies of Miao village lusheng pipes.
At dawn, as the lingering haze disperses, the gallery unfurls its beauty under the morning light. The jade-like waters of Dongfeng Lake stretch like polished gemstones, mirroring the crimson cliffs carved by nature’s chisel. Vines cascade from the rocky folds like natural tassels. Gliding by boat, the silver wake entwines with valley mist, while the Liuguanghe Waterfall hangs like a silken ribbon, its plunge into the lake scattering a thousand glistening droplets—eternalizing the praise *"mountains rival the Three Gorges, but its waters surpass them"* in rippling light.
Nestled beneath the cliffs, the Huawuji Miao Village charms with its stilted houses, where blue-gray tiles harmonize with bamboo groves. Afternoon sunlight slants through wooden windows, illuminating the nimble fingers of embroiderers crafting intricate patterns—indigo fabrics narrating millennia of migration. As dusk dyes the Yachi River Bridge crimson, the steel cable-stayed structure transforms into a scarlet harp, its vibrating cables humming in sync with riverside lusheng dances.
Summer rain veils the gallery in gossamer, as mist drifts through karst peaks—now revealing the majestic "Eagle Spreading Wings" cliff, now obscuring the confluence of the Liu Chong and Yadian Rivers. When night falls, campfires at Huaduli Camp paint the starry sky, while Miao maidens' songs pierce the haze, blending with the river’s murmur into an eternal ode to these mountains and waters.
