[Qingdao, China] Taoist Holy Land Laoshan Taiqing Palace

Laoshan is about an hour away from the city center by car or subway. ⛰️

It's one of China's most famous Taoist holy sites, known as the "No. 1 Mountain on the Sea."

Laoshan is home to many Taoist temples, the most famous of which is the Taiqing Palace on the Taiqing Route. 🧘

Taqing Palace is a Taoist temple with over 2,000 years of history. Located near the sea in southern Laoshan, it's surrounded by nature, with mountains behind and the sea in front.

The building is built in traditional Chinese Taoist style, and the grounds are home to several halls, gardens, ancient trees, and stone monuments. At the top of a long staircase is a giant statue of Laozi. ☯️

It's said to be a very important place for Taoism, with Taoist priests still coming here to practice.
