📍Address: Qinglong County, Qinhuangdao
🚗Transportation: Self-driving
⏰Best time to visit: All year round. You can ski in Tiannu Town in winter.
💰Ticket price: Discounted tickets for winter are CNY 19.9, including admission and sightseeing bus. Regular tickets are CNY 140, including admission, sightseeing bus, and round-trip cable car.
🌟Highlights:
1. A national 4A scenic area with many unique attractions, including a sea of clouds, strange rocks, Tianmu Magnolia, alpine azaleas, an aerial meadow, a camphorwood Buddha, and a skywalk.
2. Jixin Temple has a history of over 800 years. The temple is surrounded by mountains on three sides and faces a canyon on the other. There is a square in front of the temple, which faces Bohai Bay, and green mountains and cypress trees behind it.
The off-season ticket is only CNY 19, which is a great deal for a workout. 😎
📌Tips:
1. Stock up on discounted tickets. 😏
2. There is a cable car. Enter through the east gate during the off-season.
3. Jixin Temple offers meditation classes. You can sign up for a class that fits your schedule to find inner peace and harmony. The temple also holds blessing ceremonies. Follow its official account for the schedule.
4. Wear comfortable shoes for hiking.
5. Bring some food for your kids to feed the squirrels. I remember there were squirrels everywhere at the store, and they weren't afraid of people. You can feed them whatever you want.
6. You may not be able to reach the top during the off-season. There are also many people on weekends. The winter in the north is bare. It won't be as beautiful as the pictures, so be prepared. Even the sea of clouds in Huangshan is not there every day. It depends on the weather and your luck.
7. Qinglong is not only famous for its delicious water tofu, but also for its Fuji apples. 😋 If you happen to find yellow peaches for sale, stock up on them too. They are very sweet.
