Seaside Diary | 3 Days and 2 Nights in Qinhuangdao

3 Days and 2 Nights in Qinhuangdao

🏨Hotel and Homestay: We recommend staying near Jinmeng Bay or Maoye Tiandi, where there are many places to eat and convenient transportation. It's not far from Beidaihe.

🗓Itinerary:
Day 1: Xigang Garden → Jinmeng Bay → Maoye Tiandi → Qinhuang Alley
🌟Jinmeng Bay: A beach. You can go to see the sunrise or sunset if you go early.
🌟Xigang Garden: It used to be a port terminal, but now it's a park. In addition to cafes, restaurants, and souvenir shops, you can also see train tracks, docks, and some industrial facilities, which are worth visiting.
🌟Maoye Tiandi: The largest shopping center in Qinhuangdao, with many restaurants, including some snacks.
🌟Qinhuang Alley: A commercial snack street with many kinds of snacks and several popular shops. Lianhong Qintian, a local beverage shop in Qinhuangdao, has branches near Xigang Garden, Qinhuang Alley, and Maoye Tiandi. Their specialty is shaved ice, so if you like iced drinks, go for it!
Day 2: Aranya
Aranya is a mid-to-high-end community in Changli County, mainly operating homestays and hotels, with everything you need to eat, drink, and have fun. A taxi from downtown Qinhuangdao costs about CNY 90 one way. Download the "Aranya" app to buy tickets for the art museum, and you can take a shuttle bus and eat in the canteen in the park.
🌟Highlights:
🌟Dune Art Museum: The exterior design is very unique, like a dune.
🌟Aranya Art Center: Various exhibitions are held regularly.
🌟Aranya Chapel: A white house with a spire.
🌟Lonely Library: It doesn't feel lonely at all, with long lines for photos 📷.
Dining in the park: Pay attention to the opening hours of each canteen, as there are closing times. In addition to the canteen in the park, we recommend a restaurant called Yellow River into the Sea, where the Liangpi and Saozi Noodles are amazing!
Day 3: Beidaihe Niutouya Market → Laohushi Ocean Park
🌟Niutouya Market: The first market in Guannei, where you can feel the hustle and bustle of life. It is open on the 2nd, 5th, 8th, and 10th days of the lunar calendar and closes around noon. Prices are very reasonable: 2 sugar-coated haws for CNY 5, 1 fried cake with red bean paste for CNY 1, 1 grilled gluten for CNY 2.5, 1 Orleans grilled chicken leg for CNY 7, 1 serving of bean sprouts, shredded potatoes, and sesame sauce fried noodles for CNY 9, and other special snacks such as Jianbing Guozi, Jianmenzi, and Rou Dan Bao. We highly recommend buying local specialties here, such as shrimp paste, shredded squid, and dried shrimp.
🌟Laohushi Park: Free to visit. The rocks in the park resemble tigers, and there are many seagulls. If you want to feed the pigeons, buy toast and sausages in advance.

📝Tips:
Biluota, Happy Bay, Haitianyise, and Geziwo are all by the sea, so if you're short on time, just choose one. Biluota and Geziwo require tickets.
