A Stroll at Qixingtan: Hualien's Most Healing Coastal Scenery

The most refreshing place in Hualien is undoubtedly Qixingtan. This crescent-shaped azure bay is not covered with fine sand like typical beaches, but with smooth pebbles. Every time the waves crash against the shore, the white foam and the blue sea create the purest scenery.

I chose to stroll along Qixingtan in the evening, stepping on the smooth stones and feeling the sea breeze on my face. The only sound in my ears was the waves, instantly relaxing me. This is also an excellent spot to watch the sunrise, with many photography enthusiasts coming here in the early morning to capture the dreamy scene of the sun slowly rising and casting golden light over the sea.

Walking along the coastline, you can also see the Qixingtan Bike Path. Renting a bike and leisurely riding along offers a different perspective of the scenery. Nearby, the Qixingtan Geological Exhibition Hall provides an in-depth understanding of the natural ecology of this beautiful bay. Whether quietly watching the sea or strolling with friends and family, Qixingtan is a place that can cleanse the soul.
