|No more walking around for photos in Quanzhou. Here is a one-day travel guide for Quanzhou, with the specific schedule as follows:
Morning
- 8:30–10:30: Arrive at Kaiyuan Temple, the largest Buddhist temple in Fujian Province, to admire ancient buildings such as the Mahavira Hall and the Sweet Dew Altar, and check in at the East and West Twin Towers. You can enjoy the peaceful and serene atmosphere in the temple and admire the ancient buildings and exquisite Buddha statues.
- 10:30–12:30: After leaving Kaiyuan Temple, stroll along West Street, one of the best-preserved ancient streets in Quanzhou, with many ancient buildings and traditional shops along the street. You can taste local delicacies such as meat dumplings, noodle paste, beef soup, spring rolls, and jellyfish.
Noon
- 12:30–14:00: Choose a restaurant on West Street or nearby for lunch, and try ginger duck, stone flower four-fruit soup, and other delicacies.
Afternoon
- 14:00–15:00: Head to Quanzhou Confucian Temple, the largest existing Confucian temple in Southeast China, which combines the architectural styles of the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties, to gain an in-depth understanding of the profound Confucian culture.
- 15:00–16:00: Visit Qingjing Mosque, one of the earliest existing mosques in China and one of the four ancient mosques in China, with a unique architectural style. The ticket is CNY 3 per person.
- 16:00–17:00: Visit Guanyue Temple, a temple dedicated to Guan Yu and Yue Fei, with a grand architectural scale and a strong incense, where you can pray for blessings.
Evening
- 17:00–18:30: Visit Tianhou Temple, the oldest and most prestigious ancient building among Mazu temples at home and abroad, to experience the Mazu culture in southern Fujian. You can taste the four-fruit soup at Bingzhengtang near Tianhou Temple.
Night
- 18:30–20:00: Head to Zhongshan Street in Quanzhou, one of the most prosperous commercial streets in Quanzhou, with many shopping malls, restaurants, and entertainment venues, where you can buy goods and experience the nightlife in Quanzhou. You can also have dinner at restaurants such as Sidang Ginger Duck and Linjia Minnan Cuisine.
- 20:00–21:00: If you still have time and energy, you can go to the Bell Tower to enjoy the night view. The Quanzhou Bell Tower is one of the landmarks of Quanzhou. When night falls, the Bell Tower is brightly lit, reflecting the surrounding buildings and forming a beautiful night view.
