Quanzhou Qixu Bell Tower Hotel

Quanzhou Trip | Falling in love with Quanzhou because of a hotel ||| Quanzhou is truly different from what I imagined. It has so much history, culture, temples, and religion, but the experience at this hotel made this trip even more memorable.

The hotel is located in Quanzhou's most bustling area, at the intersection of East Street and West Street. It's incredibly convenient to walk east or west, truly allowing you to explore the city on foot. The hotel also offers a "Little White Car" service that can take you around the scenic spots or drop you off at any attraction along the route.

Right at the hotel entrance is the eye-catching "White Bell Tower." The hotel was renovated from Quanzhou's historical "Bell Tower Department Store" building, and the design still retains the department store feel. The first floor houses a very tasteful boutique.

You can see the East and West Towers of Kaiyuan Temple from the hotel's front desk and even some of the rooms. I took many great photos at the hotel. My room overlooked East Street and was bathed in sunlight, making it particularly pleasant.

The hotel also offers many complimentary experiences, which was the best part. There's a tea room, a chance to try making Quanzhou snacks while enjoying the city view, and a rooftop experience where you can make your own cocktails. Best of all, they also gifted us a few photo shoots inside and outside the hotel. As I was traveling with my mother, we captured some wonderful memories. It made us reluctant to leave the hotel.

The breakfast here is truly exceptional. In addition to the buffet, they also offer a la carte specialty snacks, covering almost all the local delicacies of Quanzhou. This saves you the time of visiting each place individually. I recommend trying one of each; two people can definitely finish them.

Don't miss the hotel's rooftop. It's one floor above the front desk and opens up to a spacious area where you can see the entire cityscape of Quanzhou and capture unique angles of the Bell Tower. The bar downstairs is also fantastic; I'll write a separate review about it another day. I even had a drink there related to Cai Guo-Qiang's fireworks, which was amazing.

If I have the chance to visit Quanzhou again, I'd love to stay at the Qixu hotel by the seaside.
