The exquisite and solemn mausoleum stands adjacent to the Hassan Tower.
Compared to the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, which represents the history of the Alaouite dynasty, the Hassan Tower, built in 1195 but left unfinished due to dynastic changes and partially destroyed by an earthquake, appears particularly desolate;
These two buildings, representing two extremes, coexist in the same square, as if telling the story of Morocco’s rise and fall.
