There are some places that you will want to go again after visiting once, and Danxia Mountain is one of them! This time I went to Renhua to explore the beautiful 5A-class World Geopark - Danxia Mountain. Whether it's taking pictures and taking beautiful photos, or hiking and watching nature slowly relax, it really has it all. The itinerary mainly revolves around three famous spots: Elder Peak, Yangyuan Stone, and Danxia on the Water. Not only is the landscape unique, but there are also many fresh discoveries!

1️⃣ Elder Peak
As the first landmark of Danxia Mountain, Elder Peak is basically stepped on by every friend who comes to Danxia Mountain. Climbing up from the foot of the mountain requires some strength, but the Danxia red rocks and stacked cliffs along the way are like a super-large landscape painting. Looking at the whole scenic spot from the distance at the top of the hill, I need to take a few more photos! It's coolest to get up in the morning, the air is fresh and there are not so many tourists.

2️⃣ Yang Yuan Stone
The whole world knows that there is a "Yangyuan Stone" in Danxia Mountain, the shape is really strange, many people joke that the metaphor is good 🤣 But at the same time, this is one of the geological wonders, whether you do not look at the strange shape, appreciate the red rock with blue sky is shocking enough.

3️⃣ Danxia on the water
If you want to take pictures of the beautiful mountains and rivers of Danxia, Danxia on the water is a must. You can take a boat tour, wrapping the Danxia landscape and green river water together into the mirror, the visual impact is bursting. There are many small islands and special rocks along the river, and taking pictures is really fresh and travel-like.

The Danxia Mountain Scenic Area is very large. You must wear comfortable sneakers when walking! It is recommended to enter the park early to avoid the crowds. Hiking and taking photos can be done slowly. There are not many dining options in the park, so it is recommended to bring snacks and enough water (especially the Elder Peak route). The weather is changeable. Remember to bring sunscreen in summer, and it will become slippery in the rain according to the landscape. Pay attention to safety.

Back in Renhua Town you can find a local canteen to try specialties, such as steamed river fish and fried Danxiashan bamboo shoots, which are fresh and authentic. If you want to replenish your energy and don't mind the simplicity, there is a stall selling noodles and brown sugar dumplings near the scenic spot. It's best to eat after hiking.

🚗 Transportation guide
Danxia Mountain is not far from Shaoguan city. You can take a dedicated bus from Shaoguan HSR Station to Renhua, which takes only about 60 minutes. If you drive yourself, you can enter the scenic spot directly along National Road 106. There are signs along the way, so you don't have to worry about getting lost.

- The light is best in the morning or evening, perfect for taking beautiful photos, don't go too late
- The scenic area has many ups and downs, the elderly remember to walk slowly and do what they can
- The ground will be slippery when it rains, be careful when hiking
- It is recommended to book tickets online in advance, saving time and convenience!
