On a business trip to Heilongtan, the only hotel I stayed at three times is this one!

Heilongtan Indigo

Checking in with Diamond status, customer relations Eva added me on WeChat in advance to ask about my needs, the service was very thoughtful.

I've always liked Indigo's unique style, its compact and beautiful design, and its feature of not having a lounge. Indigo usually replaces drink vouchers with a complimentary first round from the minibar, but this time they made an exception and gave two drink vouchers. The Sauvignon Blanc I redeemed was quite good. Thanks to the front desk, the room allocation manager on duty, and customer relations Eva.

🧹 Soundproofing/Cleanliness:
The overall stay was quiet, and the hygiene was good, making it a reassuring place to stay.

🏘️ Room Type/Layout:
The Mansion Suite is perfect for taking photos; every shot looks great. The balcony is spacious, and sitting outside to have a drink is very pleasant. The public areas are designed in a Republic of China style, and the popular staircase next to the front desk is great for photos. The hotel also offers a Republic of China style photography experience, which is very distinctive.

🛌 Amenities/Facilities:
The welcome gift was a box of nut snacks, which looked exquisite; the toiletries are from Indigo’s Shanghai Bund Yulong series, with a light tea fragrance that is pleasant. The oversized bathtub in the Mansion Suite was a surprise and very popular with the kids.

💗 Other Tips:

- For dining, the adjacent restaurant offers buffet breakfast and Cantonese dim sum. However, the restaurant is small and can get crowded during the summer peak season, and the breakfast variety is not extensive; the dim sum in the evening is decent, but overall the dining experience is better at the nearby InterContinental. The drinks and fish and chips at the InterContinental lobby bar are quite good.
- Guests of both hotels can use the Paradise Island Water Park for free, which is great for families with children.
- The nearby InterContinental does not have a lounge, making Indigo a more attractive choice.

Summary:
Heilongtan Indigo is a very distinctive hotel with unique Republic of China style design, great photo opportunities in the Mansion Suite, and thoughtful service. Although the dining could be improved, the overall experience is good and worth a visit, bringing a different mood.
