Rizhao Stop 4: Star Island Blue Carbon Project.

We visited the Star Island Blue Carbon Project theme park, but we didn't understand what it was about even after we finished our visit. However, since it is located on the coast of the Yellow Sea and is a fun place to take photos, we decided to look it up online.

This is Taohua Island, the largest nearshore reef island in Rizhao. There is a small fishing village on the island called Taohua Island Village. The name of the village reminds people of the Taohua Island where Huang Yaoshi, the father of Huang Rong, a character in Jin Yong's novel, lives.

The village is connected to the mainland by a pier that can only accommodate more than 100 fishing boats. This pier is the only way for the islanders to get in and out.

Now, Taohua Island has been transformed into a "sci-fi" theme park, with an alien base-like entrance, a punk-style whiskey bar, a beachside cafe, a "space shuttle" ride, the Stardust Traveler Hotel, the Wandering Ocean Space Capsule, and the Star Island Fantasy Park...

The Star Island Blue Carbon Project theme park brings the "low-carbon dream" into "real life." With the concept of "simulating the future world of mankind," the park uses new energy technologies to upgrade Taohua Island and the surrounding coastline, creating the first "environmental protection + sci-fi IP" theme park in China.
