Swan Watching Guide in Weihai: Don’t Get Confused About the Locations Anymore

With the swan season arriving, the entire internet is buzzing with swan check-in spots. Where can you see the most beautiful swans? Today, we introduce three places in Weihai to watch swans.
🦢 Chezhu Gou Great Swan Nature Reserve
Recommendation: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
📍 Navigation: Haoyunjiao Middle School (walk straight from the main gate down the small path until you see the "Honghu Bay Photography Area" sign, then follow the road to find the iron gate)
⏰ Time: Limited viewing from 5:30 AM to 9:00 AM, but according to private car drivers, it’s also open from 3 PM to 5 PM. You can call 📞 to confirm the last time.
⚠️ Notes:
1. This is a wild shooting location with few people and beautiful scenery, allowing close-up views of swans. It’s a paradise for photography enthusiasts, with no commercial corn feeding.
2. To capture the sunrise, arrive by 6 AM when the light is soft and the swans pose gracefully—great for both portraits and landscapes.
3. Around 7 AM is feeding time by staff, when swans gather at the shore, making it the best time for photos.

🦢 Swan Lake National Park
Recommendation: 🌟🌟🌟
📍 Navigation: Rongcheng Swan Lake National Park
⚠️ Notes:
1. This is the Swan Lake closest to the Blue Wisser ship, next to the Honghu Bay Photography Area, just a 3-5 minute drive.
2. It’s part of the Swan Lake Science Museum, a large area with reeds, wetlands, and distant mountains, suitable for bringing kids to explore.
3. There are two swan viewing spots here: one where swans swim in a small pond with reed beds on the shore, ideal for portrait photography; the other is a large lake with a stone shore where swans are fenced in but very close to people. Corn feeding here costs 3-5 RMB per bag.

🦢 Yandunjiao Swan Lake
Recommendation: 🌟🌟🌟🌟
📍 Navigation: If driving, navigate to Yandunjiao Village. You can park near the village bay but be careful not to block traffic. If using public transport, first go to Rongcheng Station, then transfer to buses 223, 228, etc., and get off at Yandunjiao Station.
⚠️ Notes:
1. This spot offers a wide view with many swans. Feeders come around 3-4 PM, when swans are more active—an excellent time for photography.
2. There are fences here, so you can’t get close to the swans by the sea. Sunrise or sunset shots are stunning, and the thatched cottages on one side add to the scenery, though it’s not ideal for portrait check-ins.
3. Corn for feeding swans can be bought at the nearby small shop.
4. For accommodation, the village has seaweed cottages, but it gets cold at night, so be sure to keep warm.
Drone photography is prohibited when shooting swans to avoid disturbing their habitat and feeding.
