Kanchanaburi is a relatively small tourist destination in Thailand. There is no hustle and bustle, no crowds, and everything is as it is.
The hotel we are going to stay in today is located on the bank of the beautiful and winding River Kwai in Kanchanaburi.
The best way to reach the hotel is to drive to Phutakien Pier.
You can park your car here.
There is a long-tail boat at the pier.
It takes only 20 minutes to reach the hotel.
When you sit on the boat,
the mountains on both sides of the Kwai River are covered with green trees,
it feels like the Amazon rainforest.
This floating raft hotel is one of the top ten floating hotels in the world.
All the rooms are single-family cabins floating on the river.
The quaint houses are reflected on the water,
as if they are growing in nature,
and are integrated with the river jungle of Zhouguo.
The sky is clean without any impurities or stains.
It only takes one look to fall in love with it.
It is certain that this is the ideal "utopian" place.
The rooms are mainly made of bamboo and wood.
When a speedboat passes by occasionally,
the room will feel swaying.
The gauze curtains on the big bed give the whole room a romantic holiday atmosphere, which is very consistent with the natural and primitive style of Kanchanaburi.
At night, you can only hear the gurgling river and the chirping of birds and insects. The comfortable white noise will help you fall asleep quickly.
The most interesting activity here is rafting. Put on the life jacket provided by the hotel, jump into the Kwai River, and don't think about anything. Just drift forward with the river. It is both exciting and relaxing.
Just don't go too far from the shore during the drifting process.
Swim towards the shore when you are close to the end of the hotel.
Otherwise, you will not be able to walk back to the hotel from the shore.
If you are lucky, you can meet a kind boatman,
and ask them to help pick you up and send you back to the hotel.
Don't ask me how I know.
Because it is deep in the jungle,
you can only eat at the hotel.
The restaurant dinner is not bad.
There are buffet and a la carte options.
The buffet is relatively simple and
not cost-effective.
It is still recommended to order a la carte.
