Muang Sing Historical Park

#Travel to save the world
Muang Sing Historical Park is an important historical site located in Tambon Sing, Amphoe Sai Yok, Kanchanaburi Province. It covers an area of approximately 736 rai. It is a rectangular ancient city located on the banks of the Kwai Noi River. It is believed to have been built in the 18th–19th Buddhist centuries, during the period of the influence of the Khmer Empire.

The historical sites in the park include “Prasat Muang Sing” or “Prang Phrathan”, which is the most important historical site in the area. It exhibits Bayon style architecture, which is characterized by the use of sandstone to construct the castle structure and decorated with patterns reflecting the faith in Hinduism and Mahayana Buddhism. Other historical sites include the covered walkway, Gopura (arched gate), and historical sites number 2, 3, and 4, which demonstrate the development of the community and arts and culture in ancient times.

In addition to its historical value, the atmosphere around the park is shady with natural plants. It is suitable for those interested in studying history, art, archaeology, and those who want to relax and enjoy culture. I highly recommend it.
