SAKATANTO is located in Sakata City, Yamagata Prefecture. It is a hub for exchanges with the theme of local food and tourism, with restaurants, merchandise, and event spaces. It has a garage-like atmosphere and is very stylish. This time, I went to Ika Koi Shokudo, located inside SAKATANTO. The menu was very extensive and I had a hard time deciding, but I wanted to enjoy a variety of flavors, so I ordered the Ika Koi Sanmai Jyu ¥990. It is a three-colored jyu with squid somen noodles, squid and sea urchin, and squid and cod roe, and the squid is very fresh. With a warm egg on top, it becomes mild and you can eat as much as you want. If you add squid liver soy sauce, the flavor increases and it is very delicious. I ordered it as a single item, but if you order it as a set, you can eat as much salted fish and warm eggs as you like. The inside of the store is like a food court, and there are several other restaurants. I visited at 10am on a weekday morning when it opened, so it was not crowded and I was able to enjoy my meal at a leisurely pace. I was happy to be able to eat so much squid.
