Phra That Chedi Chum Worawihan Temple

Wat Phra That Chedi Chum Worawihan, Sakon Nakhon Province
🙏It is a second-class royal temple located prominently on the banks of Nong Han Lake. The pagoda is approximately 24 meters high and was built to cover the footprints of four Buddhas: Phra Kakusandha, Konakaman, Kassapa, and Kotom. The highlight is the square lotus-shaped pagoda decorated with a 247-baht gold umbrella, along with castle arches and doors in all four directions.

🌿Inside the chapel is “Luang Pho Phra Ong Saen,” a Buddha statue in the Mara-Vijaya attitude in the Chiang Saen style (built in 1257 CE) that Sakon Nakhon people highly revere. At the back is a sacred well connected to an underground waterway from Phu Phan, and there is a story about a Naga guarding it.
