In Samarkand, we discovered a charming restaurant located near Registan Square - Labi Gor.
📍 Registanskaya St., 7A, Samarkand, Uzbekistan
The restaurant spans two floors of the building.
On the first floor, tables are adorned with tablecloths, and soft, calming music plays in the background. The ceiling here is a masterpiece in itself.
In the center of the hall, there’s a small fountain. This floor is mostly frequented by couples or families with children.
The second floor has a simpler interior but offers a livelier atmosphere. Live music plays, and there’s space for dancing. Tables are arranged for larger groups, and this floor often hosts group tourists.
📖 The menu is designed like a book. The designers made it vibrant and colorful, with each dish depicted as it looks in reality.
🍲 I highly recommend trying the Lamb Chops with Pomegranate Sauce here. Not only is the presentation beautiful, but the dish is genuinely delicious. The meat on the bone was lean, tender, and juicy, easily separating from the bone. The pomegranate sauce added a delightful tanginess to the dish.
🍢 We often order cheese sticks at various places, but here they were exceptionally tasty! The cheese literally melted in your mouth. We devoured them, even burning our tongues in the process.
🥘 The signature dish of Labi Gor is the Meatball Soup. If you’re feeling cold after exploring the city, this dish is a must-order.
The restaurant building itself may look unassuming from the outside, but the food they serve is absolutely delicious!
