San Francisco: 6 Spots You’ll Want To Capture 📸 🇺🇸

San Francisco is a city which regularly features in my top 5 cities that I have visited. I’ve been several times and I keep going back for more! Urban photographers will love the historic downtown while the city is surrounded by lush nature for nature lovers. Here are favorite photography spots around the city:

1️⃣ California and Powell Street
After a few hours of shopping and eating in Chinatown, head up the hill to this iconic viewpoint. If you time it just right, you’ll get a photo of the tram rolling down the hill into the city below.

2️⃣ Lands End Lookout
When you come to the end of Golden Gate Park, don’t stop there. Stroll along the beach and up the hill and then turn around. Surrounded by nature and urbanity, it’s one of my favorite viewpoints in San Francisco.

3️⃣ Battery Spencer
Another pretty famous photo spot in San Francisco is Battery Spencer just across the Golden Gate Bridge. Rent a bike for the day to reach this spot. The view will not disappoint.

4️⃣ Transamerica Viewpoint
I stumbled upon this while waiting for a pizza in Little Italy. It’s in a residential area up a pretty steep hill but it’s worth the climb for a different viewpoint of the city.

5️⃣ Grant Avenue and Green Street (Little Italy)
Little Italy is one of the most vibrant areas in San Francisco. You really get a feel for how old the city is in this district. The views here are nice during the day but even nicer at night when the lights come on. Why not enjoy some Italian food while you’re there? I

6️⃣ Columbus Tower and Transamerica Viewpoint
Another Transamerica Tower viewpoint, but this time a little lower down. This spot is on quite a busy road but there’s some pavement in the center of the road where you can stop and take a photo.

🏨 Where to stay: Hotel Julian is in a safe and quiet area 15 minutes walk from Union Square. The staff are super friendly and the hotel is newly refurbished so the rooms are super comfortable.
