Huaguo Mountain, located one kilometer east of Ciping in Jinggangshan City, Jiangxi Province, gets its name from the vibrant mountain blossoms and abundant bayberry production. Its Guihuaping and Lanhuaping areas, covering nearly 20,000 square meters, are popular tourist destinations.
Guihuaping is home to hundreds of osmanthus trees. Their circumference is so large that one person can barely embrace them, and their crowns cast a shadow over an area stretching dozens of meters. Every July and August, the osmanthus blossoms blanket the ground, their fragrance wafting for miles. The sweet scent of golden osmanthus is truly refreshing.
Lanhuaping is home to the Jinggangshan-specific orchid "Jinggang Spring Orchid" amidst the lush greenery. Nearly 100 hectares of tea plantations surround Guihuaping, where Jiangxi's premium tea, "Jinggang Cuilv," is produced. Comrade Zhu De, on his return to Jinggangshan in 1962, admired the orchids and savored tea here.
The subtropical monsoon climate is humid, and the fragrance of golden osmanthus fills the air in July and August. Summer is the best time to travel.
Osmanthus Terrace and Orchid Terrace in Huaguoshan are popular tourist attractions.
