#philippinestrip When you think of Palawan, you probably imagine limestone cliffs, turquoise lagoons, and pristine white-sand beaches. But what if I told you that this slice of paradise also has a beach where you can swim with pigs? That’s right, there’s a “Pig Beach” in Palawan, and it might just be one of the most bizarre yet adorable travel experiences in Southeast Asia.
Located near #portbarton , a sleepy coastal town in #palawan , Pig Beach is exactly what it sounds like—a tropical beach where friendly pigs roam freely and love a good swim. Unlike the famous Pig Beach in the Bahamas, this one feels more rustic and intimate, with fewer crowds and a more authentic local vibe.
The pigs here aren’t wild. They’re looked after by the locals and are used to tourists bringing snacks and taking selfies with them. It’s both hilarious and heartwarming to watch them wade into the shallow water as if they’re professional beachgoers.
Port Barton has an increasing number of eco-friendly resorts and cozy beach huts. I booked a beautiful bungalow with ocean views through Trip.com, and waking up to the sound of waves was pure magic.
