Semporna Town Hotel Recommendations - Travel Guide

The newly opened seaview hotel in town "Aranya SeaView Hotel" highlights:
· Convenient location (though being in a new area, the exact address isn't accurately marked on maps yet - Grab can't locate it)
· Spacious rooms with beautiful new decor that girls particularly love
· Strong water pressure in bathrooms, provided disposable shower gel and shampoo smell amazing (I even asked for extra packs at checkout to take home)
· All room types come with balconies
· Reasonable room rates currently (likely to increase soon)

Minor drawbacks:
· Air conditioning could be stronger (possibly due to hot weather) - solution: get an extra key card from reception to keep it running 24/7
· More dust accumulation in hot weather - provides indoor slippers but no floor mats

Right in front is the seafood market with everything you could want - fish/shrimp/crab/lobster. Buy fresh seafood and pay processing fee at nearby restaurants. Highly recommend "Fat Mom Seafood Restaurant" (processing fee RM35/kg). There's also a seafood restaurant downstairs with RM25/kg processing fee (decent taste).

For island hopping, we chose Package #2 "Mataking Three Islands Route":
· Reasonably priced package
· Friendly, funny and experienced local guides
· Experienced one fun dive and two snorkeling sessions
· Took some Instagram-worthy photos at Timba Island
