Quickly save this secret spot for autumn leaf viewing

Yesterday I went to Jiangfushan Red Leaf Valley to enjoy the autumn colors. In the past two years, I have come here every year to see the red leaves. Obviously, I came a bit early this year, and the red leaves haven't fully dyed the valley, but I still really like this vibrant mix of red, yellow, and green.

I hadn’t planned to hike, so I didn’t schedule my time strictly. I only drove into the valley after 4 PM, yet still encountered a huge traffic jam.

No wonder, so many people came to the valley to see the red leaves over the weekend, completely blocking the only road into the valley. There was no choice but to park the car a bit farther from the red leaf area and walk into the valley.

Every year at this time, the commercial ecosystem in Red Leaf Valley is well developed, with everything for eating, drinking, and entertainment. For some reason, I suddenly really wanted to stand on the mountaintop and see the valley’s “makeup.” So I climbed the mountain wearing high heels.

The beautiful scenery did not disappoint. Although it’s not late autumn, the weather wasn’t great, and it was near dusk, the beauty of the view still made me reluctant to look away.

📷 Best photo spot on the mountaintop:
The best viewpoint in Red Leaf Valley is only one, located on the northeast corner hill at the first three-way fork after entering the valley.

🚶 Hiking route guide:
There are two routes up the mountain, and I made a diagram (see image 6).
1️⃣ Route 1 goes south along the three-way fork, enters a dirt road, then turns left to see the mountain path. This path is gentler but a bit winding and leads directly to the best photo spot.
2️⃣ Route 2 goes east along the three-way fork. About one kilometer in, there is an open area for horseback riding. From the entrance of this area, walk south about 200 meters to see the mountain path up. This path is not winding but very steep, and from the mountaintop position to the photo spot takes another 8-10 minutes on foot.

It is recommended to park the car at the foot of the mountain corresponding to Route 1 (marked with a car icon on image 6), then hike up. Some daring drivers drive their cars up the mountain, but this is not recommended because there are many loose stones on the mountain road, which can cause slipping and is dangerous to drive straight up.
