Sunset on the Glass Bridge: A Dreamy Visit to Sanya’s Yalong Bay Tropical Paradise Forest Park

One of the most magical experiences during our stay in Sanya was a late afternoon visit to the Yalong Bay Tropical Paradise Forest Park — a lush, elevated escape right above Yalong Bay. We arrived at 4:40 PM, about 90 minutes before closing, and it felt like the park was waiting just for us.

🎟️ At that hour, there were no lines at the ticket counter, and the shuttle bus that takes you up to the main attractions was also completely empty. The ride itself took about 20 minutes through peaceful greenery, and the breeze as we drove uphill was surprisingly refreshing.

When we reached the top, the air was cooler, the light softer, and the whole area felt calm and pristine. We only had about 45 minutes left before closing, so we headed straight for the park’s highlight: the full sea view glass bridge.

At the entrance, they gave us fabric shoe covers to protect the glass surface — a small detail that added to the experience. And the best part? We had the entire bridge to ourselves. No crowds, no noise — just us, the glow of the setting sun, and the incredible panoramic view over the deep blue of Yalong Bay ❤️

We took our time — slow photos, relaxed videos, no pressure. It was a total dream.

As we finished crossing the bridge, the park was already preparing to close. Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to explore the other scenic spots — but that just gives us a reason to come back 🏞️

💡 If you’re staying in Yalong Bay (like we did), and have 2–3 flexible days, here’s what we recommend:

✅ Split the visit across two days to explore different zones without rushing
✅ Arrive late in the afternoon for better light and fewer people — especially great for photographers and content creators 📸
✅ Wear comfortable shoes — there are a lot of stairs and paths once you’re at the top
✅ Don’t forget water — it’s humid even in the forest
✅ The shuttle ride is long (15–20 min) — so plan your time accordingly
