The single room for this staycation measures 19 square meters, but its elongated layout, large windows, and a sofa make the space feel quite roomy. While the hotel is older, and the bathroom is relatively small, the amenities provided are excellent.
The bath salts are generously sized and very useful. I also enjoyed the lounge's bar time, which offers unlimited Hokkaido wine and draft beer. Accompanying these are charcuterie, cheese, fruits, and more than three types of nuts.
Although there are no hot meals suitable as a full meal, the lounge is perfect for pre- or post-dinner relaxation. It can be accessed multiple times during its 4-hour service period (5 PM to 9 PM). The staff promptly clears tables, which is a nice touch.
The room faces the railway, so the sound of passing trains is quite noticeable. Even on the 20th floor, the noise is significant, suggesting that lower floors might experience even louder sounds. Those sensitive to noise might prefer twin rooms or higher categories.
The view is great for zoning out and relaxing. Breakfast the next day can be chosen from two locations. The buffet on the 1st floor starts at 6 AM, while the Japanese restaurant on the 22nd floor opens at 7 AM. After arriving at 3 AM and sleeping until 6:30 AM, I opted for the Japanese breakfast at 7 AM.
The meal is served directly to your table, featuring delicious seafood dishes made with Hokkaido ingredients. There's also a drink bar where I plated three different beverages. Thank you.
