The Hokkaido Pioneer Village is located in Nohoro Forest Park, Houbetsu, Sapporo .
The village is divided into four areas: market land, rural area, mountain village, and fishing village.
There are 52 historic buildings in the village.
All were relocated from all over Hokkaido and restored.
Walking in is like traveling through time and space.
Feel firsthand the style of life a hundred years ago.

The architecture is not only nostalgic in appearance.
Even the interior has restored the furniture furnishings of the time.
There are also models showing the former life of the locals.
You can see old newspaper offices, dye shops, horse-drawn stations, inns, hospitals, farmhouses, etc.
It was really like going to a Japanese version of a cultural village.

Pioneer Village regularly hosts various traditional cultural experiences, such as:

🚍 Transportation (Departure from New Sapporo Station)
At the "New Sapporo Station Bus Terminal" No. 10 boarding point, take the JR Hokkaido Bus "New 22 Pioneer Village Line" and go directly to the "Pione no Village" station.

• The drive takes about 20–25 minutes
• Fare is about 240 yen one way
