🪷Worship Buddha | Wat Chang Kham, Chiang Mai 🪷

🌟Wat Kan Thom Kum Kam Phirom or Wat Chang Kam, Chiang Mai Province 🌟 The highlight of this temple is that it is the first temple where evidence of the ancient city of Wiang Kum Kam, an ancient underground city of the Lanna Kingdom, was discovered around 1831 B.E. during the reign of King Mangrai. Inside the temple, there are also many laterite remains that archaeologists have discovered. There is a lot of archaeological evidence, both Buddha amulets and pottery containers, which are assumed to have been around during the Hariphunchai period. There was also a red sandstone inscription discovered using two types of script: Mon and Sukhothai scripts. 🌟

🦋This temple has been thoroughly excavated by the Fine Arts Department since 1984 and has been declared an important ancient site of the province. If tourists want to visit, they are advised to contact the Wiang Kum Kam Information Center. There will be guides to guide the tour, provide advice and detailed information. 🦋

🚘How to get there: You can drive to Mahidol Road, Soi 6, enter the alley for about 1 kilometer, there will be clear signs. You can park your car in the temple.
