The Royal Thai Navy Sea Turtle Conservation Center's primary objective is to breed, nurse, and release sea turtles back into the wild, as well as conduct research and educate visitors about sea turtles. It operates several projects, one of which is the Royal Thai Navy Sea Turtle Conservation Center, located in Sattahip, Chonburi Province. It has been in operation since 1950 and provides a nursery for turtles from birth until they are ready for release back into the ocean. It also has a hospital for treating injured or sick sea turtles, and maintains a market area for sea turtle products on nearby islands, including Koh Kram, Koh Ira, and Koh Chan.
Admission is free and there are also educational exhibits.
