Fading Gold on Stone

The moment just before the lights come on is my favorite. The castle walls still hold the sun’s gold, but the shadows are growing longer, deeper. The turrets shine for a heartbeat more before they turn silver under the first stars. Standing at the lookout point, you can see the whole city fading into soft color — roofs, spires, and hills blending into one gentle tone. The Alcázar doesn’t lose its power in this light; it becomes tender, like a secret shared only with those who stay late.
