Sendai’s free high-altitude observatory: Sky Shuttle in the SS30 building

#sendai駅 There are free observation decks nearby, the "SS30 Building" within a 10-minute walk from Sendai Station, and the Sky Shuttle on 30F (open 0700-1300).

Due to time constraints, I only went to the SS30 Observation Deck, once in the morning and once in the evening. At night it is a date spot with romantic night views, and during the day it is a glass house filled with ocean breeze. The atmosphere during the day and at night are quite different!

SS30 is a commercial building, and 28-30F is a wedding banquet hall, so one side is reserved as a viewing platform. Although only one side has a limited angle, the cosmic round dome and glass canopy create a very special atmosphere. The way to take photos is completely different from other scenic spots, and it’s free to visit. It’s really amazing!
