My Amazing Seongsan Ilchulbong Adventure! ☀️⛰️

I just visited Seongsan Ilchulbong (성산일출봉), and even though I missed the sunrise (I arrived at 11:30 AM, haha!), the weather was absolutely perfect – bright sunshine with a lovely breeze. It was incredibly comfortable!

I started with the paid section, which involved a climb, but it was totally worth it. Every turn offered great photo opportunities, and it wasn't overly crowded, making for a very pleasant experience. The views from here are unique; you get a fantastic panoramic perspective of the entire area that you just don't get from the free route. I highly recommend it!

The free route was much more crowded, with queues for photos, but it was beautiful nonetheless. From this side, you can also take a speedboat ride around Seongsan Ilchulbong for half or a full circle. There's even a Haenyeo (sea diver) performance at 2:30 PM, though I skipped it since I'd seen it before.

My personal advice? Pay the 5,000 KRW admission fee for the paid side. It's not expensive, and it allows you to see both perspectives. The view from the higher points is truly spectacular. If the weather's good, definitely go!
