One of Japan's top 10 udon restaurants and the best udon in Kyoto

Yamamoto Menzou is so famous that it draws visitors from all over Japan.
In the past, when there was no reservation system,
it was said that waits of over four hours were expected in the middle of summer.
Thankfully, the reservation system is now in place, and
you can even make reservations online.

There are about 10 counter seats
and one table for four.

I ordered the famous zaru udon,
and the noodles were incredibly chewy and springy.
I understood why it's so famous.
This is a place to go for real noodles.
