Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak is one of the 360 volcanoes located on the eastern side of Jeju Island, Korea. It is a cone-shaped volcano, approximately 182 meters high, formed by a volcanic eruption in a shallow ocean about 5,000 years ago, and resembles a gigantic ancient castle.
Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and this peak is also a viewpoint and a beautiful sunrise spot, so beautiful that it is called the "Sunrise Peak".
Today, we spent about an hour walking up the mountain because we wanted to see the beautiful view on the peak. We walked and rested, not rushing. Along the way, we enjoyed the beauty of nature. When we reached the peak, we felt less tired from walking up because we saw a beautiful view below. Plus, the weather was great. We really made the right decision to walk up here.
If you come to visit Jeju Island I recommend you to come up here. It's beautiful and impressive.
