Gwangjang Market in Seoul, South Korea has a history of over a hundred years. It was formerly called Dongdaemun Market and is a traditional food street that must be visited when visiting Seoul.
There are various restaurants in Gwangjang Market, selling authentic traditional Korean snacks such as mung bean pancakes, sesame seaweed rice rolls, fish cake soup, etc., which are very popular among tourists and locals. Gwangjang Market also has shops selling daily necessities, vegetables and fruits, and the prices are relatively cheap.
It was morning when we visited and the market was already crowded with people. When we entered the food court, we could already hear the cries of "Ajumma" attracting diners. It was really lively. Every snack shop was full of diners, and everyone was eating with gusto.
