How to get to historic palaces in Seoul for free

Tip: if you rent hanbok - entrance to all main palaces is for free (and to the secret garden as well).
Note that some of the most popular palaces are closed one on Monday, another one on Tuesday, so I really advise to avoid those two days.

Wearing a traditional Korean hanbok may sound waaaay too touristy and cheesy but it actually did not feel that way. Normally Im not someone to fall for things like that but in Seoul I saw sooo many Koreans visiting historical sights in hanboks that Ive talked my friend into that and we went for a hanbook rental!

The experience is nice and because it is so popular - I haven't felt silly at all.
