Bukchon Hanok Village - "A warm settlement that travels through 600 years of history"
In the center of Seoul, between Gyeongbokgung Palace and Changdeokgung Palace, there is an area called "Bukchon" where low-rise traditional Korean houses gather. The craftsmen scattered in the village are committed to inheriting the traditional Korean craftsmanship that symbolizes the cultural heritage. As Seoul has gone through 600 years of changes, Bukchon carries the historical traces of the wealthy and noble families of the Joseon Dynasty! !
📖History introduction:
Located in the north of the Cheonggyecheon and Jongno areas of South Korea🇰🇷, it is two important landmarks of ancient Seoul. In the North Korean period, it was the residence of senior officials, nobles and their families. Later, it was taken over by the South Korean government and turned into a tourist attraction, but there are still residents living here today~
Introduction to Bukchon Korean House:
It is a favorite filming location for many Korean dramas and Korean variety shows such as "My Love from the Star". When you come here, you must visit the scenery of the "Eight Scenic Spots of Bukchon" and leave a souvenir one by one!

"Bukchon Hanokdang": If you are lucky, you can see the works of the famous Korean embroidery artist "Han Sangsu" here. If you like handicrafts, you can't miss it!
"Baeklinje's Former Residence": Doesn't this name sound like someone's name? ? Actually, it is not. Baekinje’s House is actually a representative Korean house when Japan invaded Korea.
🔔Warm reminder:
1. There are many shops in Bukchon-ya, Korea that can rent Korean clothes or make reservations online in advance, which can make you more integrated into the environment during the whole trip.
2. Bukchon-ya is basically crowded with people at any time. It is recommended to go there in the early morning or evening. There will be many tourist groups after 09:00. It depends on luck to take good photos.
3. Bukchon-ya still has many residents living here. It has been listed as a "tourism nuisance" by South Korea. Many houses will also put up banners to inform "no noise". Travelers should not forget to respect the quality of life of local residents while enjoying the journey. Be a good international traveler! !
