Namsangol Hanok Village

Namsangol Hanok Village is a beautifully reconstructed traditional Korean village located at the foot of Namsan Mountain. Unlike Bukchon Hanok Village, which is a real residential area, Namsangol is designed as a cultural experience center, making it an ideal place to learn about Joseon-era lifestyle and traditions. The village features five restored hanok (traditional houses) that once belonged to noble families, complete with authentic furniture and household items. Visitors can participate in traditional activities like hanbok-wearing, calligraphy, tea ceremonies, and folk games. One of the highlights is the seonbi (scholar) experience, where you can dress as a Confucian scholar from the past. The village is free to enter, making it a budget-friendly cultural stop. While it’s smaller than Bukchon, it offers a more structured and educational experience. With its peaceful ambiance and stunning mountain backdrop, Namsangol is a great place to step back in time.
