#koreatrip A beautiful, historic site in Seoul, known for its stunning architecture and serene gardens. A UNESCO World Heritage site, it offers a glimpse into Korea's royal past. The Secret Garden is a highlight, especially in autumn, with vibrant foliage. A must-visit for history and culture lovers.
p.s : Need to buy ticket for Secret Garden in advance as it sold out quite fastFirstly, I must say that it is wonderful to have free access to the palaces in Seoul. If you're 65 yo or above, there's no need to join the long queues for tickets; I went straight to the entrance and just showed them my driving licence.
Beautiful Palace with its many carved wooden buildings. It was constructed in 1405 during the reign of King Taejong. However, all of the buildings were destroyed by fire during the Japanese invasion of 1592. It was restored in 1610. There have been subsequent fires where some buildings were damaged or destroyed, but full restoration has taken place. It became a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site in 1997
