Peace among the lotuses

Jogyesa Temple is located in the central part of Seoul and is considered the heart of Korean Zen Buddhism. Jogyesa Temple is easily accessible by walking along the busy Jongno Street towards Anguk Station. The first thing you will see is the majestic ancient trees growing on the temple grounds. In front of the main building of Daeungjeon Temple, there are Japanese pagoda tree and white pine trees that are about 500 years old.
