Peaceful Time at Jogyesa
Yesterday afternoon, I visited Jogyesa and felt peace and tranquility in the city. The elegant scenery and fragrance from the entrance of the temple calmed my mind, and the harmony of the lanterns and delicate Dancheong in front of Daeungjeon was particularly impressive. There was also a space selling Buddhist books and souvenirs nearby, so I was able to look around with interest.
📌 Points for solo travelers
Recommended experience: Sit in front of Daeungjeon for a while and meditate to clear your mind
Hidden spot: Small garden behind the temple → A great place to take a walk in a quiet atmosphere
Recommended snack: Warm citron tea and Korean sweets set sold at a nearby traditional tea house (6,000 won)
🚨 Precautions
Be quiet and respectful inside Daeungjeon
No flash photography
Refrain from eating food inside the temple and maintain a clean environment
It was a perfect place to feel healing in the city center as it was a space where you could quietly contemplate with various traditional elements. I want to visit again during the lantern festival next time! 🌸
