Four Seasons Hotel Seoul

#SeoulHotel I took my family to stay at Four Seasons Seoul during the Chinese New Year. I booked a family suite and was lucky enough to be upgraded to a "large corner apartment". Although I didn't get a Gyeongbokgung Palace view room, the 270ยฐ city skyline view was still amazing~ But after the overall experience, I did feel the "stability and limitations of the old five-star hotel"~
๐จ Surprise of the corner suite
The upgraded corner room is surprisingly spacious! The living room and bedroom are separated by floor-to-ceiling glass, overlooking the sea of โโneon lights in Gwanghwamun at night, which gives the impression of a "city commander"~ However, the decoration style is "classical and luxurious". Although the wooden furniture and crystal chandeliers are magnificent, they lack the lightness of modern hotels. The children laughed and said "It's like walking into grandpa's study"~
๐ณ Breakfast richness and parent-child shortcomings
The breakfast buffet can be called an "international food expo": Korean seafood pancakes, Chinese dumplings, Western croissants are available, and even the children's area is equipped with chicken nuggets and cereal rings~ However, there is no "children's club" at all. If you want to let your children relax, you can only rely on the toy box in the room (building blocks and painting tools are provided). The parent-child facilities are far less considerate than those of domestic hotels of the same level~
๐ "Unexpected Easter Egg" in a prime location
Located next to Gwanghwamun Square, 5 minutes walk to Gyeongbokgung Palace, 3 minutes to Gwanghwamun Station on Subway Line 5~During the New Year, there was a local parade. You can "watch it online" through the glass in the high-rise guest rooms, which not only allows you to feel the lively atmosphere, but also avoid squeezing into the crowd~By the way, there is a "tourism bus stop" at the door of the hotel, which is very convenient for taking the elders to visit Seoul Tower and Namsangol Hanok Village~
๐ก Practical Tips for Family Stay
โ
Ask for the availability of "Gyeongbokgung View Room"! It was peak season when we checked in, and we still couldn't get it even if we booked a week in advance
โ
Bring your own children's slippers + bathrobes! The hotel only provides adult sizes, but the mini bathroom products are so cute that you want to collect them. โ
Use "Gwanghwamun Station" to connect the historical sites: Changdeokgung Palace and Deoksugung Palace are both within 2 stations, suitable for "cultural parent-child travel"
Summary: Suitable for families who "value geographical location and service stability" ~ The details of the old five-star hotel are still online (such as the hot water bag of the night bed service and the exquisite plate decoration of the welcome fruit). If children pursue "novel experience", the designer hotel next door may be more suitable; but if you want to worry-free and enjoy the historical sites, this is still a "zero-mistake choice" ~
