Gwanghwamun Square: A Vibrant Hub with Historical Charm

#cityplaybook
Gwanghwamun Square, nestled in the heart of Seoul, is much more than just an open space; it's a bustling hub surrounded by government offices and commercial buildings, which means there are tons of restaurants and cafes nearby for every taste.
I was pleasantly surprised to see how much the trees planted when the square was first built have grown. They now provide wonderful shade, making it a comfortable place to stroll even on a sunny day. What truly made the experience special for me was the breathtaking view beyond Gyeongbokgung Palace – the majestic Bugaksan Mountain reaching towards a clear blue sky. It's a truly picturesque scene that beautifully combines the city's historical grandeur with its natural beauty.
Gwanghwamun Square is a fantastic spot to experience the pulse of Seoul, grab a bite to eat, relax under the trees, and take in some truly stunning historical views. It’s a definite must-visit for anyone exploring the city.
