Visiting the Blue House Before It Closes

I visited the Blue House (Cheongwadae) recently, even though it's no longer open to the public. Here's my experience!

My parents wanted to visit the Blue House, so I worked hard to secure a reservation by checking the website daily. It was quite challenging, but I managed to get one!

Unfortunately, since it's nearing the end of its public opening period, we couldn't tour the interior, which was a bit disappointing.

We took the shuttle bus from Gyeongbokgung Station to get there. The tour started at the Chuncheon Gate, and we were guided around the area.

Although it rained that day, we still enjoyed the visit. The Blue House grounds were incredibly spacious, and seeing it in person felt even more grand and majestic than what I had seen on the news.

Even though it's closing soon, I'm glad we had the chance to visit!
